Al-Imraan 13 of 20
When you set out at dawn from your home to assign battle positions to the believers -- God hears all and knows all. 121 And recall when two groups from among you were inclined to flag although Allah was their protector; it is in Allah that the believers should put their trust. 122 Allah had helped you at Badr, when ye were a contemptible little force; then fear Allah; thus May ye show your gratitude. 123 And Recall what time thou saidst to the believers: sufficieth it not unto you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down. 124 If you remain patient and God-fearing, and the enemy should fall upon you all of a sudden, Your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels clearly marked!" 125 And Allah did not bestow this victory except for your happiness, and only that your hearts may attain peace with it; and there is no help except from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. 126 That He may cut: off a portion of those who disbelieve, or abase them so that they may go back disappointed. 127 Not for thee, (but for Allah), is the decision: Whether He turn in mercy to them, or punish them; for they are indeed wrong-doers. 128 To God belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. He may forgive or punish whomever He wants. God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 129

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
