The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
