Hast thou not seen how thy Lord hath spread the shade - And if He willed He could have made it still - then We have made the sun its pilot; 45 thereafter We seize it to Ourselves, drawing it gently. 46 And it is He who hath made for you the night a covering, and the sleep repose, and hath made the day a resurrection. 47 It is He who sends the winds with auspicious news in advance of His benevolence; and We send pure water down from the sky 48 so that We may bring life to a dead land; and slake the thirst of Our creation; cattle and men, in great numbers. 49 We have explained it to them in diverse ways, so that they may take heed, but most persist in their ingratitude. 50 Now had We so willed, We could have [continued as before and] raised up a [separate] warner in every single community: 51 Do not yield to the unbelievers but launch a great campaign against them with the help of the Quran. 52 ۞ It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. 53 It is He who has created human beings from water and He has granted them the ties of blood as well as marriage. Your Lord is all powerful. 54 And they serve, apart from God, what neither profits them nor hurts them; and the unbeliever is ever a partisan against his Lord. 55 And We have not sent you but as a giver of good news and as a warner. 56 Say: I ask of you no reward for this, save that whoso will may choose a way unto his Lord. 57 Have trust in God the Living, who will never die, and sing His hallelujas; for He is well aware of the sins of His creatures. 58 He created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six spans then assumed His authority. He is the benevolent: Ask those who are well-informed. 59 When they are told to prostrate themselves before the Beneficent God, they say, "Who is the Beneficent God? Why should we prostrate ourselves before the one whom you have commanded us to?" This only increases their rebelliousness. ۩ 60
