Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say, "It is great news 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 This alone is revealed to me, I am only a clear warner' 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
