Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
