THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
