And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
