Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 But when sight is confounded 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
