AND, INDEED, We have created man out of sounding clay, out of dark-slime transmuted 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 28 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, bow before him in homage;" 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 Said He, 'What ails thee, Iblis, that thou art not among those bowing?' 32 Iblis replied, "I did not want to prostrate before a human being whom You have created out of mud-moulded clay". 33 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state]: for, behold, thou art [henceforth] accursed, 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 for an appointed time." 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 “Except those among them who are Your chosen bondmen.” 40 (Allah) said: "This is the Way which will lead straight to Me." 41 Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
