Do not these unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were an integrated mass, then We split them and made every living thing from water? Will they not believe even then? 30 And We have made great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with them, and We have made in it wide ways that they may follow a right direction. 31 We made the sky above them as a well-guarded ceiling, but they have neglected the evidence (of Our existence) therein. 32 And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating. 33 And We granted not to any human being immortality before you (O Muhammad SAW), then if you die, would they live forever? 34 Every soul has to experience the taste of death. We test you with both hardships and blessings. In the end you will all return to Us. 35 And when those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah) see you (O Muhammad SAW), they take you not except for mockery (saying): "Is this the one who talks (badly) about your gods?" While they disbelieve at the mention of the Most Beneficent (Allah). [Tafsir. Al-Qurtubi]. 36 Man is made of haste. I shall show you My portents, but ask Me not to hasten. 37 And they say: When will this threat come to pass if you are truthful? 38 If only those who disbelieved knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; and they will not be helped. 39 The fire will suddenly strike and confound them. They will not be able to repel it, nor will they be given any respite. 40 And indeed the Noble Messengers before you were mocked at, but their mockery ruined the mockers themselves. 41
