Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
