Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
