Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
