Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him – We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
