Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 You shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
