Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Almighty God's Truth.
