Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He said, "I am better than him. You have created me from fire and him out of clay". 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 "It (this Quran) is only a Reminder for all the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
