T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
