We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 and We cradled the earth. And We are the Best of Cradlers. 48 And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allah). 49 Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and mankind but that they should worship Me. 56 I seek no sustenance from them, nor do I want them to feed Me -- 57 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). 58 The evildoers shall have their portion, like the portion of their fellows; so let them not hasten Me! 59 Therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of their day which they are threatened with. 60
