In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment." 1 He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner, 2 [Saying], 'Worship Allah, fear Him and obey me. 3 "He (Allah) will forgive you of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Verily, the term of Allah when it comes, cannot be delayed, if you but knew." 4 He said: “My Lord, I called my people by night and by day, 5 And my calling hath only increased them in fleeing. 6 And whenever I have called them that Thou mayest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, cover themselves with their garments, and persist and are puffed up with pride: 7 "And behold I called unto them openly; 8 And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private. 9 Then I said, "Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Surely He is the most forgiving. 10 and He will loose heaven upon you in torrents 11 And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers. 12 What is the matter with you that you fear not the greatness of Allah? 13 seeing that He has created [every one of] you in successive stages? 14 "'See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another, 15 And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp? 16 And Allah has brought you forth from the (dust of) earth. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 97]. 17 Then He returns you to it, then will He bring you forth a (new) bringing forth: 18 And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse, 19 That you may go about therein in broad roads. 20

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
