Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
