The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the close of night, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
