Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
