And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
