The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 Created man, 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
