The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 then he mustered 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
