The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
