The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
