3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
