۞ And when the son of Maryam is held up, an example, behold! thy people thereat cry out. 57 And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people. 58 He ['Iesa (Jesus)] was not more than a slave. We granted Our Favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel (i.e. his creation without a father). 59 If We had so willed We could have made some of you into angels to become your successors on earth. 60 He is certainly the sign of the Hour (of change). So have no doubt about it, and listen to me. This is the straight path. 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Allah is my Lord and your Lord; therefore, serve Him. That is the Straight Way.” 64 But parties from among them differed, so woe to those who were unjust because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Are they waiting except for the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not? 66 The intimate friends on that Day will be hostile unto one another save the God-fearing. 67
