Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 and will be made to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 in a garden sublime, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 and prepared goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 And linen spread out. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
