The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
