The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
