And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
