The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
