Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 in a Garden on high, 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 raised couches, 13 And chosen goblets. 14 and cushions arrayed 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
