Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book, there is no doubt in it, is from the Lord of the worlds. 2 Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth, and all what is between them, in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) established Himself over the Throne (of control); leaving Allah, there is neither a friend nor an intercessor for you; so do you not ponder? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth, then it goes up to Him in one day, whose measure is a thousand years of your counting. 5 He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 6 He Who has made everything which He has created most good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay, 7 Then He made his progeny of an extract, of water held in light estimation. 8 Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 9 They say: “Shall we be created afresh after we have become lost in the earth?” Nay, the fact is that they deny that they will meet their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
