Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
