In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ AlifLaamMeemSaad. 1 This is a Book sent down toward thee, so let there be no straitness in thy breast therefor, that thou mayest warn thereby! and this is an admonition unto the believers. 2 [Say (O Muhammad SAW) to these idolaters (pagan Arabs) of your folk:] Follow what has been sent down unto you from your Lord (the Quran and Prophet Muhammad's Sunnah), and follow not any Auliya' (protectors and helpers, etc. who order you to associate partners in worship with Allah), besides Him (Allah). Little do you remember! 3 How many cities have We destroyed! Our wrath struck their people at night or during their midday siesta. 4 And when Our Might fell upon them they only said: 'We have indeed been harmdoers' 5 We will question those to whom Our Message was sent, as We shall question the Messengers. 6 And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place). 7 And on that Day, the weighing will truly be done; so those whose scales prove heavy are the successful. 8 And as for those whose scale is light: those are they who lose their souls because they used to wrong Our revelations. 9 It is We Who have placed you with authority on earth, and provided you therein with means for the fulfilment of your life: small are the thanks that ye give! 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
