[AND] the people of Lot gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
