Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)

37 verses, revealed in Mecca after Smoke (Al-Dukhaan) before The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ha Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. 2 Indeed there are signs for believers in the heavens and the earth. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and the fact that animals are scattered (through the earth), are Signs for those of assured Faith. 4 And in the alternation of Night and Day, and the fact that Allah sends down Sustenance from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the change of the winds,- are Signs for those that are wise. 5 These are God's revelations, which We recite to you in all truth. But if they deny God and His revelations, in what message will they believe? 6 Woe unto every sinful self-deceiver 7 He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous! 8 And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 9 Gehenna (Hell) is behind them, all that they have earned shall not help them at all, nor shall those they took as guardians, other than Allah. For them there is a mighty punishment. 10 This (Qur'an) is the true guidance. Those who deny the Signs of their Lord shall suffer the torment of a woeful scourge. 11
