Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble, recording, 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
