Abraham was, certainly, an obedient and upright person. He was not a pagan. 120 Grateful to Him for His favours; so He chose him and guided him to the path that is straight, 121 And We vouchsafed unto him good in this world, and in the Hereafter he shall be of the righteous. 122 We sent you, (Muhammad), a revelation that you should follow the tradition of Abraham, the upright one, who was not a pagan. 123 As for the Sabbath, it was made incumbent only on those who differed about its laws. Certainly your Lord will judge on the Day of Resurrection between them regarding the matters they disputed. 124 Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and have disputations with them in the best manner; surely your Lord best knows those who go astray from His path, and He knows best those who follow the right way. 125 If you punish, let your punishment be proportionate to the punishment you received. But if you are patient, it is better for the patient. 126 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) patiently endure and your patience is only due to the guidance of Allah and do not grieve for them, and do not be disheartened by their deceits. 127 Verily Allah is with those who fear and those who are well-doers. 128
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
