HENCE, [remember how it was] when thy Sustainer summoned Moses: "Go unto those evil doing people. 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 (Firon) said to those around him: Do you not hear? 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 Said he: "Even if I should bring about before thee something that clearly shows the truth?" 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
