Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
