Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them, 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 and other sufferings of the kind. 58 “Here is another group that was with you, falling along with you”; they will answer, “Do not give them plenty of open space; they surely have to enter the fire – let them also be confined!” 59 The followers will say, “In fact, for you! May you not get open space! It is you who brought this calamity upon us!” So what a wretched destination. 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
