Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 To your Lord then will be the driving. 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
