It is He who gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, but only few of you give thanks. 78 And it is He Who has spread you in the earth, and towards Him you are to be raised. 79 It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand? 80 Aye! they say the like of that which said the ancients. 81 They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before. It is but of the ancients' fictitious tales' 83 Say thou: whose is the earth and whosoever is therein, if you know? 84 They will say: "To God." Say: "Then why do you not bethink yourselves?" 85 Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" 87 Say thou: in whose hands is the governance of everything, and who sheltereth but from whom none is sheltered, if ye know? 88 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “Then by what magic are you deceived?” 89 Aye! We have brought them the truth and verily they are the liars. 90 God has not taken to Himself a son, nor is there any other deity besides Him; otherwise, each god would have walked away with what he had created. They would surely have tried to overcome one another. Glory be to God, above all that they ascribe to Him. 91 All-Knower of the unseen and the seen! Exalted be He over all that they associate as partners to Him! 92
