And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 And yet thou didst commit that [heinous] deed of thine, and [hast thus shown that] thou art one of the ingrate!" 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 Moses replied, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you want to be certain". 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 [Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers." 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 He said: What! even if I bring to you something manifest? 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33
