Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
